Elon Musk escalated his feud with President Trump on Thursday by claiming the former president appears in government documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
Musk posted the accusation on X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”
His post followed a sharp exchange earlier that day. Speaking to reporters alongside German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, President Trump said:
“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we will anymore.”

President Trump accused Musk of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” In response, Musk claimed Trump only won the 2016 election with his help.
In February, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced plans to release all government records tied to Epstein. She invited pro-Trump influencers to the White House and handed them binders marked “Phase One.”
The 200-page release included flight logs and contact lists, much of which had already been public since 2015. Authorities have not set a date for releasing the remaining files.
So far, no agency has confirmed whether President Trump’s name appears in unreleased documents. The Department of Justice has not commented on Musk’s claim.
