Andrew Tate, a dual British-American citizen, was previously accused in Romania of human trafficking and other offenses. He announced his plan to form a political party in the UK. On Monday, Tate shared his intentions on the social media platform X, claiming that current political parties fail to address key issues.
He wrote:
“I haven’t slept since I announced my political ambitions. Party announcement and manifesto launch coming soon. People of Britain, help is coming. Don’t give up. I will be Prime Minister,” Andrew Tate wrote on X.
Tate also criticized current leaders, saying they are too fearful of the media to act:
“No political parties today are willing to face the real challenges. They cower before the media and lack the courage to stand up to entities like the BBC. I fear no one. My new party will refuse to compromise.”
In June 2023, Tate and his brother Tristan, along with two others, were charged in Romania with forming an organized criminal group. The group allegedly exploited women by forcing them to create adult content online. Prosecutors claimed the operation generated significant financial gains. They charged Tate and his associates with human trafficking, rape, and related offenses.
The accusations spanned Romania, the UK, and the United States. However, in December 2024, the Bucharest Court of Appeal sent the case back to prosecutors for further investigation, delaying the trial.
Tate has promised more details about his political platform soon, which he believes will address the weaknesses in current leadership.
